Ryan Murphy has practiced exclusively family and matrimonial law since becoming an attorney. He believes family law is some of the most fulfilling and rewarding work in the legal field, as no other area of law has the same ability to positively impact the everyday lives of clients and their families. It was this desire to positively impact the everyday life of clients that drew Ryan to family law in the first place. Additionally, Ryan quickly learned that every family law case, just like every family, is incredibly unique and has its own distinct set of problems and solutions. Ryan relishes the opportunity to reach creative and effective solutions that best suit each particular family.
Before he practicing family law, Ryan completed a one-year Clerkship with the Honorable Jeffrey B. Beacham, J.S.C in the Civil Division of Essex County. As a law clerk, Ryan was able to hone his legal writing skills and gain invaluable exposure to litigation, the discovery process and all of the essential skills that make the practice of law what it is. He also served as mediator and mediated small claims and landlord tenant cases. After his clerkship, Ryan worked at another Morris County family law firm as an Associate attorney, where he exclusively practiced family and matrimonial law.
Ryan brings his dog Luigi, a boxer-mix, to work every day. In addition to keeping morale up around the office, Luigi seconds as an office garbage disposal, vacuum and trash inspector.
