Sofia Marsella (formerly Sofia Ucles) wishes to help individuals and families through one of the most difficult times in their lives. Sofia handles all aspects of litigation for both dissolution and non-dissolution matters.
Sofia graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and a minor in Spanish. During law school, Sofia served as the Senior Articles Editor of the Rutgers University Law Review and was a member of Moot Court. In addition, Sofia was a research assistant to Professor Suzanne Kim (Judge Denny Chin Scholar), where she researched anti-discrimination issues involving gender, sexuality, and family law. In 2018, Sofia graduated from Rutgers Law School in Newark, cum laude, and received a Certificate in Family Law and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Award at graduation for Most Aptitude in Family Law.
Since graduating from law school, Sofia focuses her practice exclusively on family law. After law school, Sofia was the law clerk to the Honorable Peter J. Melchionne, P.J.F.P. in Bergen County where she worked on cases involving all aspects of family law, including pre-judgment and post-judgment dissolution matters, non-dissolution matters, and contested adoptions.
